Transaction currencies EUR, GBP and USD, current credit-pack prices, hosted checkout, delivery and in-game spending.
These provisions form part of the rules for using neongrovecity.com. Mandatory rights under applicable European Union and national law prevail where they provide greater protection.
1. Scope and nature of Purchased Credits
This Policy governs optional purchases of the virtual currency labelled “Purchased Credits”. It applies to pack selection, checkout, delivery, wallet records, spending and transaction recovery. It must be read with the Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy and Unused Credit Return Policy.
Purchased Credits are a closed-loop Game feature usable only for eligible digital items and content offered by Neon Grove. They are not bank deposits, e-money, crypto-assets, investments or transferable claims. The limited return process described in the Return Policy does not create a general redemption, exchange or money-transmission service.
2. Credit packs and payment currencies
The base-price catalogue in GBP is: Starter Grid — £5 for 500 Purchased Credits; Grove Builder — £10 for 1,100; City Architect — £25 for 2,750; Megacity — £50 for 5,750; and Founder Reserve — £100 for 12,000. The checkout screen is authoritative for the pack available at the time of order.
Players can select euro (EUR, €), pounds sterling (GBP, £) or US dollars (USD, $), and purchases are charged in the selected currency. The checkout screen confirms the final amount and currency before payment. If the payment currency differs from the currency of the card or wallet account, the issuer may apply its own conversion or cross-border charges; these are not Neon Grove fees.
3. Checkout prerequisites
Checkout is available only to an authenticated adult player with a valid player profile, a selected pack and acceptance of the displayed policy version. The acceptance version and timestamp are recorded with the transaction. If a legacy stored balance does not match the verified wallet ledger, the Service blocks checkout rather than creating an unverified charge.
The Service shows the pack, credit quantity, amount in the selected currency and links to the applicable Terms and Refund Policy before redirect. You must review the information and correct any error before continuing.
4. Hosted payment processing
Payment details are entered on Stripe-hosted Checkout. Available cards, wallets and authentication steps are determined by Stripe and the player’s payment provider; Neon Grove does not guarantee a particular network or wallet until it is displayed in that hosted checkout.
Neon Grove sends Stripe the account email, an internal client reference, the selected pack, expected credit quantity and profile references needed to reconcile the order. Neon Grove does not receive or store the complete card number or card security code. Stripe processes payment data under its own legal terms and privacy information and may perform Strong Customer Authentication where required.
5. When an order is complete
A checkout redirect, open browser tab or “pending” record is not proof of payment. The order is complete only when the backend retrieves the provider session and verifies that it is paid, denominated in the currency recorded for the order, matches the expected amount and contains the expected player, profile and pack metadata.
If checkout is cancelled or remains unpaid, no Purchased Credits are delivered. If the browser closes after payment, the Add Credits page can recover and verify the completed session. A player should not make a second payment merely because an email is delayed.
6. Delivery and duplicate protection
After successful verification, the Purchased Credits are applied to the authenticated profile, a completed transaction is recorded and a signed Wallet Ledger entry is created. The provider checkout reference is claimed atomically and recorded as processed so that reopening a success URL cannot credit the same payment twice.
The account transaction history and wallet ledger are the authoritative in-product records. A receipt email is requested after verified delivery, but delivery of credits does not depend on email arrival.
7. Spending Purchased Credits
Before an in-game purchase, the Service displays the item, Purchased Credit price and resulting nature of delivery. Spending is completed through an authenticated backend function that checks the verified balance and records the debit. Current paid uses may include marketplace items and activation of the 500 Purchased Credit Premium Season Track.
Credits spent on delivered digital content leave the unused balance and may no longer qualify for the limited unused-credit return flow. An incorrect, duplicated or unauthorised delivery remains reviewable under the Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.
8. Transaction records and receipts
The Service records the transaction reference, player and profile reference, amount, currency, credit quantity, status, timestamps, policy version and balance effect. It may also retain original checkout-lot allocation information needed to calculate a return quote and prevent double use.
Legacy records that cannot be linked to a genuine completed Stripe Checkout are labelled unverified and are excluded from verified revenue and withdrawable value. Neon Grove will not silently convert a simulated or unsupported legacy record into paid value.
9. Errors and support
For a recognised payment that did not deliver, first use the recovery control on Add Credits. If the issue continues, submit a support ticket with the checkout reference, payment amount and currency, approximate time and a description of the screen shown. Do not send full card details, passwords or one-time codes.
We may contact Stripe, inspect provider status and compare transaction and ledger records. If paid digital content is non-conforming, statutory remedies under Directive (EU) 2019/770 as implemented nationally remain available.
